Pigment lightening/removal
Pigment lightening has been specially designed to lighten and remove semi permanent pigments. However it has also been found to be successful at removing permanent tattoos as well. Some pigments lighten a lot easier than others and in some situations correctional work will be recommended as an alternative. Each tattoo varies and a time scale cannot be given on removal, it may take as little as 3 treatments but it may take many more depending on implantation techniques, colour and age of tattoo, this can be discussed in a consultation.

A consultation will determine how effective lightening removal will be for you. A small test patch will be treated by re-tattooing with a removers solution, which draws the pigment to the surface of the skin.
A scab will form, which must not get wet or be picked off otherwise scarring may occur. Over the next week the skin will scab and heal over. Once the skin has completely healed you will see the extent of the lightening and you can then decide whether to go ahead with the treatment or whether to seek alternative removal methods.
There is no pattern to identify which tattoos will respond and which won't, so it can only be determined with a consultation. Lightening removal has been effective on both semi-permanent and permanent facial and body tattoos.
