Areola
Clients who have undergone breast reduction, augmentation, reconstruction or who have naturally pale areolas may require miropigmentaion to recreate, correct or just darken the colour of the areola. Any scaring around the areola and breast tissue can be camouflaged to soften the appearance.
Due to the unpredictability of scar tissue, pigmentation of the areola and any scarring around it may take just one session to complete or could take up to 4 treatments.
The area will be anaesthetized with a topical anesthetic to minimize any discomfort, if only one areola needs reconstructing then it will be designed and coloured as close to the shape and colour of its partner, however if both areolas need reconstructing then colour and shape can be discussed and then drawn on with a marker before going ahead with the procedure.
Any scarring around the areola and underneath the breast can be softened with MCA and then colour can be blended in to match the natural skin colour.
