Lip Liner & Full Lip Colour

Lip Liner

Lip Liner

The lip liner is created over two sessions. During your first appointment a suitable colour will be discussed and a flattering shape will be designed, after taking into consideration your skin tone and how best to compliment your natural features.

Once these have been agreed a topical anesthetic will be applied to minimize any discomfort felt and the micropigmentation will take place. Immediately after the treatment the colour will appear to be very intense, but this will dramatically reduce over the next 3-5 days leaving a soft and subtle lip line.

Visually the area treated appears to have healed after the first week, but we must allow 4 weeks for the tissue underneath the skin's surface to completely heal.

On your second visit the shape and colour will be discussed again. We can assess how well the colour has been accepted and see if there is need to use a stronger colour or thicken the lip line.

Any changes will be made now. Again you will have a very bold colour for the next 3-5 days, which will soften into a beautiful. flattering lip line.

It is recommended that anyone who has suffered with cold sores (even as a child) should get a prescription from their GP for Zovirax tablets (or any anti-viral tablet) to help prevent an outbreak. These should be taken 5 days before this treatment is performed.

Full Colour Lips

Full Lip

After your lip line has been created you can then choose to fill the full lip with a colour that compliments the liner to create a beautiful set of lips.

There are different effects that can be created with the application of full lip colour. Thin, pale lips can be transformed into full, sumptuous lips with highlighting techniques, fuller lips can be softened in appearance, uneven lips can be recreated and pale or blue lips can be transformed into a sexy, baby pink. Again two treatments are needed to create a nice, solid colour, as pigment loss during the healing process is common.

The healing time is 3-7 days, although 4 weeks is needed between treatments to prevent overworking the skin and causing any scaring. Aftercare cream will be given and care must be taken not to eat anything too spicy, salty or hot in temperature, as the area will be sensitive for a few days.

It is recommended that anyone who has suffered with cold sores (even as a child) should get a prescription from their GP for Zovirax tablets (or any anti-viral tablet) to help prevent an outbreak. These should be taken 5 days before this treatment is performed.
